Soundfield Amplification Systems

During the upgrade of Wharton Primary schools Local Area Network (LAN), PW Comms engineers were asked to adjust a Soundfield system that had been previously installed. Impressed by the system and how well it would complement PW Comms Smart board solutions, further investigation into the Soundfield technology has led to PW Comms becoming Soundfield Product Partners.

Soundfield is an amplification system used mainly in classrooms, which creates an even level of hearing throughout the room. The Soundfield system upgrades the quality of the sound; therefore removing any detrimental effects of background noises that may be causing distraction. Soundfield has been quoted as an invaluable teaching resource, which has proven to increase the focus and attention of up to 96% of children as it makes it so much easier to listen and therefore concentrate. Soundfield evenly distributes the sound throughout the room which reduces the need for the teacher to strain their voice trying to project. Because Soundfield works on a wireless system, the speaker can walk round freely, talking at conversational level, safe in the knowledge that the volume of the sound remains consistent throughout the room.
